Razer announces the all-new Razer Blade 15

To quote Razer, the all-new Razer blade is “built for those who demand more”, and I can see why — There is more power, more cores, more frames, more everything! The new Razer Blade 15 is changing the way gamers look at laptops with its 8-Core 10th Gen i7 CPU, NVIDIA RTX SUPER GPUs and of course, a 300hz display.

“The new Razer Blade 15 is simply the best laptop we have ever created,” said Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Systems Business Unit. “We’ve added numerous cutting-edge features and user improvements that were requested directly from the community to make the Blade 15 more than just a great laptop for gamers, but a great laptop for everyone.”

Powering the new Razer Blade 15 is its 8-core 10th Gen Intel i7 processor, the first 8-core processor in any Razer Blade. This CPU is able to be clocked at an impressive 5.1Ghz, and when combined with 16MB of Intel Smart Cache and 2933Mhz DDR4 memory, creates quite a beast under the hood.

But isn’t Razer all about gaming? I guess that is why the Blade 15 has paired up all that processing power with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GPU. This GPU needs no introduction and provides plenty of grunt just for you hardcore gamers out there.

Now for my favourite part of this gaming laptop, its 15.6” Full-HD 300Hz display. Or if you prefer something with a higher resolution, the Blade 15 also comes with an optional touch or non-touch 4K OLED variant. There is just something sexy about ultra-thin bezels that I simply cannot explain. Razer explain that these displays are not simple run-of-the-mill screens, as “each panel comes custom-calibrated for colour accuracy, creating a rich and immersive experience, whether practicing on the road for the next big game or binging streams and chilling”.

All this hardware is of course paired with some handy features, such as USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI port, USB Type-C port and a Thunderbolt™ 3 (USB-C) port, Windows 10, and a refreshed keyboard that includes an extended right shift key and half-height directional keys, which is of course powered by Razer Synapse 3 for all your custom macros and RGB effects.

The all-new Razer Blade 15 isn’t what you would call cheap, but with all that hardware and features no one would expect it to be. The new Razer Blade’s pricing begins at $1,599.99 USD (Approx. $2,600) and will be available starting in May at Razer.com and through select retailers in the United States and Canada, with other regions such as Australia to come later.
