Good news for all the action-RPG fans out there as the highly anticipated Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem gets its full release! That’s right, after more than four years in Early Access, the Diablo III inspired Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has reached version 1.0, but was the wait worth it?
It wasn’t the smoothest launch for the French developers, but don’t let the server instability and inevitable launch game bugs derail you from the excellent dynamic hack n’ slash foundation that is Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. To combat the server issues, eveloper Wolcen Studio has already deployed extra servers and confirmed that they plan to support Lords of Mayhem for a very long time; “We want to support our baby for a very long time, we have a lot of plans for new features and content, and we will continue to read your feedback to improve the game.”
Lords of Mayhem is a true ARPG in every aspect as it allows for complete freedom and creativity for character builds, thanks largely to there being no restriction on classes. Players will assume the role of one of the three survivors of the slaughter of Castagath who have grown up at the military academy and moulded into the perfect soldiers against supernatural enemies. An unwarranted attack on Crimson Keep has resulted in a call to arms by the republican Senate, who has voted for a retaliation act against all known locations of the Brotherhood of Dawn. From here, you’ll experience a vast array of enemies, gear up with a both offensive and defensive items, explore the huge diverse skill tree, and of course, work together with your two teammates to defeat the Brotherhood.
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is out now on Steam for $39.99USD. You can pick up your copy here and experience the next generation of ARPGs.
