Can Warzone please give me zombies already?
Call of Duty Warzone‘s developers have plans for some Fortnite like events in the near future and thanks to an interview with Infinity Ward narrative director Taylor Kurosaki, VentureBeat posted up an interesting conversation on the upcoming content.
Lead writer Dean Takahashi mentioned “There are things you could do with the world. I think of things that Fortnite has done, like the eclipse they had for a couple of days” to which Taylor Kurosaki replied “That’s exactly the kind of thing that we’re working on, that we have planned. Again, it’s all going to fit into this macro that we’ve established in Modern Warfare, and that we’ve continued into Warzone. If you know who the players are in Modern Warfare, it’ll all make sense, and it’ll all feel appropriate to the universe.“
A question was also asked“We saw a big change from trios to quads. Was that always the plan, to mix things up for people?” Kurosaki replied “Absolutely. We want to keep things fresh for our players. We want to keep things fresh for ourselves. We know that a quad is a pretty tried and true way of playing MP. A lot of people out there have foursomes they like to play with, so we wanted to make sure there was a spot for all four. By the same token, having solos is great for the times where I just want to test my own skills against an entire map full of enemies. That’s there as well. These are all valid ways to play — trios, quads, singles. We intend to keep fulfilling the desires of our player base for the types of configurations they want.”
Now there is no reveal mentioned throughout this whole interview on the timing of any upcoming events, but here at MEF TECH we will make sure to keep our eyes out and keep eveyone up to date with everything Warzone. (Hopefully a zombies mode?)
