After a few months of news and rumors, Valve have officially revealed Dota Underlords as its official Auto Chess game. Dota Underlords is available now as a preview build for all Battle Pass owners as Valve plan to use this as a stress-test for when Dota Underlords moves into open beta.
“Dota Underlords is a new stand-alone game that pits you against seven opponents in a battle of wits that will have you building, combining, and leveling-up a crew in a battle of dominance for the city of White Spire. In this game, victory is determined not by twitch reflexes, but by superior tactics”.
The preview build only features two game modes, solo/party online games against seven other players and an offline practice mode against bots. The open beta promises to feature ranked matchmaking, cross-platform play across all platforms (including mobile devices) and you’ll even be able transfer progression and rank across all devices. Valve are yet to announce when Dota Underlords will move into open beta, but the good news is that Underlords will be free-to-play and available through Steam (Windows, Mac, and Linux), Android, and iOS.
