Former TI7 winners Team Liquid have announced that they’ve parted ways with their Dota 2 roster as their Dota team has informed the org that they wish to “pursue a new dream- To build a team of their own.“
Team owner Victor “Nazgul” Goossens confirmed the news via the official Liquid website, praising the team and thanking them for the incredible journey. “I am genuinely happy our players and the new adventure they are about to take” Nazgul said. “You have been absolute legends of the game and Team Liquid. Thank you for everything, and you’ll always be welcome to visit. I have the utmost respect for your decision and look forward to meeting you on the battlefield”. Former Liquid captain Kuroky confirmed the news, stating that the team has left to work on his “project”.
Nazgul also confirmed that Liquid intends to pick up a new roster (or build a new roster) and remain active in Dota “It is hard to predict the future and it is by no means a given that we find the right fit immediately when we look for a roster, but I can definitely say that we love this game and want to be a part of it”.
What does this mean for Kuroky and his team? A path similar to OG and Secret no doubt- a player owned organization. As the entire roster has parted ways from Liquid, you can only assume that the team of Miracle, w33, MinD_ControL, Gh and Kuro will continue together under Kuro’s project org. Exciting times ahead for both Liquid and Kuro’s new project.
