SteelSeries release the Arctis 1 Wireless, a 4-in-1 headset

The perfect solution for wireless gaming on multiple platforms

Let’s be honest, the majority of us play games on more than one platform. This usually means switching between multiple headsets, especially if you enjoy the freedom of wireless gaming. SteelSeries feel your pain and have launched the evolutionary 4-in-1 Arctis 1 Wireless headset.

4-in-1 versatility with SteelSeries performance

“With the continual growth of console gaming, alongside the emergence of mobile gaming experiences such as game streaming services and Nintendo Switch, gamers’ audio needs have evolved, and that evolution is wireless,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, SteelSeries CEO. “Gamers need a truly multiplatform wireless headset that easily transitions between experiences, and that’s exactly what we’ve delivered with the Arctis 1 Wireless.”

Can’t argue with the facts

The Arctic 1 Wireless is billed as a 4-in-1 wireless headset thanks to its compatibility with not only PC, but also Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Android devices. The Arctis 1 Wireless uses the same high quality, low distortion speaker drivers that are found in the Arctis 3, 5, 7 & 9 series products, meaning you’re not compromising on sound quality for wireless technology. This isn’t the only similarity that the Arctic 1 Wireless shares with the rest of its Arctic family. The Arctic 1 Wireless also features the same ClearCast microphone, albeit with one slight difference- it’s detachable rather than retractable, this allows for easy transition from headset to headphones.

So simple. Yet, so beautful

SteelSeries are able to deliver impressive wireless performance thanks to their lossless 2.4GHz technology and its clever utilisation of a small USB-C dongle. It may initially seem annoying having to plug in a dongle, but the impressive sound quality and ultra-low latency more than makes up for it. The Arctic 1 Wireless also features a 3.5mm jack that allows this headset to be used as a wired headset for other devices such as an Xbox One or iPhone. Obviously, this defeats the purpose of having a wireless headset, but this displays the versatility of the Arctis 1 Wireless.

Perfect for mobile gaming

SteelSeries’ latest release stays true with their sleek, iconic design, but with one noticeable difference- The Arctic 1 features a more traditional headband, rather than their famous ski goggle suspension design. This design allows for increased mobility and optimized for use on the go, all without compromising on comfort or quality.

The Arctis 1 Wireless is available now from the official SteelSeries website for $99
