Capcom announced new season for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition
After some months without much news regarding Street Fighter V: Champion Edition (SFVCE) , fans assumed that any further adjustments made to the game would be mainly focused on balance or netcode fixing and that season 4 was the last batch of content that the game had in store for us. However, Capcom announced yesterday, via the Street Fighter twitter account that new content was heading our way.
It is noteworthy to say that the Capcom Unity site crashed due to the massive influx of players wanting to get a hold of the news; and we were in for a treat.
The first message was a thank-you text from the developer team for the fan support with SFVCE, announcing that ALL EX09 colors will be added free for all 40 characters as a token of gratitude to us players.
The second message revealed that they will release a new costume for two characters. The twist is that the costumes will be fan-made and they will be selected through community voting (and further approval of Capcom). This is a great initiative (and a first time for Street Fighter) to get the fans involved and to showcase the work of some of the great artists that form a part of the FGC. You can find more information in their official website.
Finally the dev team told us that, due to the huge positive reception of SFVCE, ther will be a final fifth season for the game, called season V. This season will bring three new stages (confirmed at least) and five new characters to be added to the roster, which has made fans happy and eager for more information regarding the last season of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.
