Razer Synapse 3 now supports Amazon Alexa

Razer have taken the next step in becoming a household name in smart home automation by annoucing that Razer Synapse 3 is now compatible with Amazon Alexa. This means that you can integrate your PC into your smart home network and manage all your Razer Chroma enabled products through Alexa, all without the need for additional hardware.

As you can see from the video above, with a simple voice command you can bring all your favourite Razer products to party with Alexa — This scene is the perfect example of how Razer Synapse 3 can integrate your Razer peripherals into your smart home. Alexa can now activate Chroma lighting, adjust the volume, and even open your browser, all with a few words.

This is all achieved with the latest update that features Amazon Alexa as a dedicated module in Razer Synapse 3. From here, you simply enable Amazon Voice Service on all supported devices and presto, you now can control your enabled devices through Alexa, or if you prefer, control them through your headset microphone by directly speaking to Alexa.

Razer have stated that they will be “continuously developing additional skills to enable more commands on the Alexa module on Synapse”, but with support for over 500 hardware devices including products from MSI, Thermaltake and AMD, I think this is already a great start from Razer.
