Razer Release The BlackShark V2, The Definitive Esports Gaming Headset

Razer has announced the release of their definitive esports headset, the Razer BlackShark V2 gaming headset. As esports continues its evolution into the mainstream, Razer is ensuring that they are at the number one choice of pro gamers by providing exceptional clarity of sound and communications.

“Working with pro-players, we identified key areas where esports headsets needed to improve – positional audio, clarity of communications and noise cancellation,” said Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Peripherals Business Unit. “By addressing these three areas and implementing the solutions into the BlackShark V2, we’ve created a formidable headset. And by adding in the new THX Game Profiles, we’ve made the formidable into the unbeatable.”

The Razer BlackShark V2 features Razer’s new (and HUGE) TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers that are coupled with a new custom-tuned HyperClear Cardioid microphone. The features don’t stop there for the BlackShark V2; advanced passive noise cancellation and THX Spatial Audio Game Profiles all combine to allow the BlackShark V2 to be one of the top multi-platform, wired gaming headsets on the market.

Razer’s TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers are a cutting-edge and innovative design that allows for individual tuning of high, mid, and low range frequencies to allow for pro-level customisation no matter the game you are playing. These drivers are complemented by THX Spatial Audio that can replicate accurate and precise stereo, 5.1, and 7.1 audio — some would say that this ultimate triple threat of clear sound, clear communication, and minimal external noise is the deadly trinity of audio!

Razer left no stone unturned during the R&D process of the BlackShark V2, gathering as much data and feedback from pro-gamers to ensure the headset meets their standards. “We’ve tested the Razer BlackShark V2 prototype and were quickly convinced of its advantages in games,” said Tal “Fly” Aizik from Evil Geniuses. “Using it in many training sessions, it was comfortable to wear, and both the game and mic sound quality are excellent – it really let me stay focused on my game.”

The Razer BlackShark V2 is out now for $174.95 AUD and is compatible with any 3.5mm jack enabled device including PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and many mobile devices.
