Monster Hunter: World high-resolution texture pack to be released April 4

As part of the upcoming Monster Hunter World’s 5.2 update, PC gamers will be treated with a free high-resolution texture pack. This update will be available via Steam and requires a minimum of 40GB of free HDD space, along with at least 8GB of VRAM. It’s fair to say that you will need a decent rig for this high-res texture pack.

This will look great in 4K

The above image highlights the improvements that the high-res pack delivers. From my uneducated eye, the update is a noticeable difference, but nothing that will force console gamers to make the switch to PC.

Along with the high-res pack, update 5.2 will also include TAA and FXAA anti-aliasing options, new mouse control option “that is less sensitive to unintentional movement when controlling the Focus Camera with the mouse”, the option to allow friends to join private games and various bug fixes.

Update 5.2 is expected to be released April 4.
