Minecraft Earth – Hits Early Access in Australia

Minecraft Earth, the free-to-play, augmented reality mobile game, is finally available in Australia from today on both iOS and Android.

Unfamiliar with Minecraft Earth? Well, It’s in early access, it’s a free-to-play mobile game and it blends AR technology with a new version of Minecraft. Built on the Bedrock engine Minecraft Earth will bring an array of features including limited-time Minecraft worlds, as well as new mob variants, smelting and crafting.

Minecraft Earth is releasing the game in Early Access first and will be adding more countries each week until they have dominated the world… by the end of the year. As with anything in early Access expect it to change over the months with ideas being added and constant changes being made, until the game is perfect to be officially released.

Players that were lucky enough to play the closed beta will have even more content from them to explore as Early Access brings new features into the Minecraft World including:

  • Adventures – small procedurally generated, limited-time Minecraft worlds that you play in augmented reality in life size.
  • New mob variants, smelting and crafting – new friendly and hostile mobs for you to meet. Through smelting, you’ll be able to work ores into ingots and with crafting you’ll get to create items you need.

Harness the power of augmented reality in Minecraft Earth and enjoy the latest adventure in the Minecraft universe. You can read more about Early Access here and for even more details, check out today’s announcement on Minecraft.net
