Fnatic announce new Dota 2 roster

Following our recent post regarding rumors of a Fnatic roster rebuild, Fnatic have confirmed their roster for the upcoming DPC season. While not all the rumors were true, they were damn close!

As previously reported, 23savage joins Fnatic as their new carry after a very impressive TI9 qualifier run with Team Jinesbrus. Personally, I can’t wait to see the young prodigy 23savage continue his rise in professional Dota. We also reported that Jabz would resume his role as the position 5, after a less-than-successful stint as Fnatic’s carry during TI9. Both DuBu and more interestingly enough, Abed find their contracts not being renewed by Fnatic. While it appears as if iceiceice remains with Fnatic as their offlaner, proving that not all rumors are true. iceiceice is one of the best offlaner’s in SEA and boasts a wealth of experience, always a valuable asset to have in your organization.

Mineski appear to be following Fnatic’s lead with a complete rebuild following the rumored departures of Nikobaby, ninjaboogie, ragingpotato and kpii. Former Mineski mid player Moon has been announced as Fnatic’s new mid player, unofficially confirming the rebuild of Mineski’s roster as… well, there’s no players left on the roster from their TI9 roster.

Does this mean Abed is bound for EG?

How do you think Fnatic’s new roster will perform? Does Abed’s departure potentially confirm his rumored move to Evil Geniuses? I think it’s the perfect blend of potential, experience and variety to be successful in the upcoming DPC, but only time will tell…
