The ORDER Oceanic Valorant Open Is Down To The Final 6

We now have our final 6 teams who have advanced to the playoff stage of the ORDER Oceanic Valorant Open! Today saw the conclusion of the group stage as we bided farewell to 12 of the final 16 teams including some big names such as Seal Team 6 and COFFEE. These teams were simply no match for Exo Clan, Unnamed, Dire Wolves, Team Launch, Control, and Pants Down, who all secured their tickets to the playoff stage as one of these teams will be crowned the inaugural ORDER Oceanic Valorant Open champions.

Group A – Exo Clan, Unnamed & Dire Wolves

Exo Clan had no issue moving through the upper bracket; easily disposing of 1HP and Dire Wolves in the opening two rounds before coming up against the surprise packet of the tournament, Unnamed. Exo Clan again proved too strong against Unnamed, taking the series 2-0 as both teams did enough to progress through to the playoffs next week.

No one, including myself, expected Unnamed to progress this far, especially with Unnamed’s tough draw. The opening round saw Unnamed defeat their more fancied opponents in Crab Walk Killers, before defeating the highly regarded COFFEE 2-0. Their undefeated group stage run was eventually halted by Exo Clan, but not before securing their ticket to the final 6.

The final team to earn their place in the playoffs was Dire Wolves. Dire Wolves were one of the more talked about teams heading into the tournament but were comfortably beaten by Exo Clan who sent them down to the lower bracket. From here, a resurgent Dire Wolves took care of RipNTear (who knocked out Crab Walk Killers) in their opening match of the lower bracket before earning the final spot in the playoffs (for Group A) against COFFEE.

Group B – Team Launch, Control, & Pants Down

Team Launch was tested in their opening BO1, needing overtime (14-12) to take care of an impressive Seal Team 6 before dominating OverPalaStrike in their round 2 series and securing their place next week. Meeting them in the upper bracket final was Control. Team Launch controlled the series from start to finish, comfortable defeating Control 2-0, and securing top seed for the playoffs.

Control opened their group stage account by smashing Gvng in the opening round, before sending Pants Down to the lower bracket as they progressed to the upper bracket final against Team Launch. Despite their good form, Control simply couldn’t match it with Team Launch losing 2-0, but still advancing to the playoffs thanks to their impressive run.

Speaking of Pants Down, the team recovered from their loss to Control by putting on perhaps the best series of the tournament against Seal Team 6. Both teams were able to take a map before an epic game 3 saw Pants Down book their lower bracket final against Gvng. Not to be outdone, Gvng pushed Pants Down to 3 maps including triple overtime (16-14) on Split that saw Pants Down finally (thanks to some technical difficulties) claim the win along with the final playoff spot.

Be sure to catch every minute of the ORDER Oceanic Valorant Open playoffs kicking off next week, July 22 with the grand final taking place on Sunday, July 26 on ORDER’s official Twitch channel.
