Ubisoft Unveils New Asia-Pacific League For Rainbow Six Esports

Asia-Pacific League For Rainbow Six Esports Announced

Yesterday Ubisoft let loose with an announcement that they are bringing back the classic matches in Esports and even better for Esports fans as today, Ubisoft announced all the details surrounding the upcoming Asia-Pacific League for Rainbow Six. The Asia Pacific League will feature two regional divisions, the North Division and the South Division with each of them following its own competitive structure.
The North Division will see 12 teams from Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia that will shoot it out in an online league, with the six best teams from the North Division progressing through to the Playoffs. The Playoffs are obviously where teams from both the North and South Divisions will shoot it out and prove their worth, with the top 4 progressing to the Six Major.

For this first 2020 Season, the teams competing in the North Division are:

  • Cyclops Athlete Gaming
  • FAV Gaming
  • FNATIC
  • Giants Gaming
  • GUTS Gaming
  • NORA Rengo
  • Qconfirm
  • SCARZ
  • Talon Esports
  • Xavier Esports
  • 7th Heaven

Starting June 23rd, the Asia-Pacific North Division matches will be broadcast in English, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 10am UTC, on the Rainbow Six Esports channels on Twitch and Youtube.

The Asia-Pacific South Division will see 8 teams from across Australia, New Zealand, Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia will compete in the Oceanic Nationals, an online league. In South Asia, teams from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will shoot it out as well. 2 teams from the South Division will join the Asia-Pacific League Playoffs to face off against the Asia-Pacific North Division teams.
